Founded in 2000, Kubota Research Associates Inc. is a technology company that has developed and patented the award winning P-Wave™ technology, a unique new process for joining plastics and manufacturing composites. Kubota Research Associates, Inc. manufactures and markets plastic joining systems, while providing custom-engineered plastic fabrication solutions to the worldwide market.

With roots in imaging, P-Wave™ harnesses light using precision optics and electromagnetic wavelength management to get the right energy where it is needed. It joins plastics and polymers efficiently and cost effectively without damage to the material surface, be it flat or three-dimensional. P-Wave™ is a patented core technology for joining plastics that has been extended with materials and process development under a grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF#0512869) to manufacture advanced composites in a way that has never been done. The result is strong, shatterproof and easily manufactured composites, which will carry them forward into mainstream products.

This new P-Wave™ Pseudo Process Technology was shown in the DuPont-Toray booth at IPF in Japan in September, and has received strong response from the industry.
